BEFORE THE TREATMENT

1. What devices will my treatment provider be using?

Your treatment provider will be using the Venus Bliss MAX™ device.

2. Am I a good candidate for this treatment? Will this treatment work for me?

EMS treatments are safe for patients of any skin tone; however, for safety reasons, you may not be able to get this treatment if you have/are:

Are obese (BMI greater than or equal to 30)
Have any heart problems
Have a pacemaker or other heart implant (LVAD, defibrillator, cardiac resynchronization device, etc.)
Have any open lesions or wounds in the area you want treated
Have an unrepaired abdominal hernia (if you want an abdominal treatment)
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
Have had parenteral gold therapy
Have a history of immunodeficiency disorders like HIV/AIDS or are on immunosuppressive medications
Have tattoos in the area you want treated
Have problems with blood clotting
Have a history of keloid scar formation
Have impaired nerves or skin sensation or have diabetic neuropathy
Have skin which is sensitive to light or are on medications that make you sensitive to light
Have a dark tan or a lot of exposure to tanning devices or excessive sunlight
Have had surgeries or procedures in the are you want treated that resulted in decreased sensation, or scars
Take blood thinning/anti-coagulation medication including >81 mg/day aspirin
Have had or have skin cancer

2. Will it be painful?

A fat treatment with Venus Bliss MAX™ shouldn’t be painful. You may feel a bit of heat and discomfort as the applicators activate, but it should still be manageable.

AFTER THE TREATMENT

1. How will I feel after my treatment?

The area may look a little flushed and feel tender, and some patients may experience a little bit of swelling, firmness, or bruising. All of these are normal and common following an EMS treatment. The tenderness may take up to a week to resolve but it should be mild enough to not interfere with your daily activities. Of course, if something doesn’t feel quite right, always consult with your treatment provider.

2. Is there any downtime required?

There is no downtime and no physical restrictions that you need to worry about. You should be able to resume your regular daily activities immediately after completing an EMS treatment.

The diode laser applicators are cleared by the FDA for non-invasive lipolysis of the abdomen, flanks, back, and thighs in individuals with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or less. The (MP)2 applicator is for improvement of local blood circulation and temporary reduction of cellulite. The FlexMAX applicators are intended for muscle conditioning to stimulate healthy muscles.

Venus Bliss™ is cleared by the FDA for non-invasive lipolysis of the abdomen and flanks in individuals with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or less, with the diode laser applicators. The (MP)² applicator is cleared by the FDA for temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite.

Venus Versa™ is cleared by the FDA as a multi-application device intended to be used in aesthetic and cosmetic procedures. The SR515 and SR580 applicators are cleared by the FDA for the treatment of benign pigmented epidermal and cutaneous lesions and treatment of benign cutaneous vascular lesions. The HR650/HR650XL and HR690/HR690XL applicators are cleared by the FDA, for the removal of unwanted hair and to effect stable long-term or permanent hair reduction for Fitzpatrick skin types I-IV. The AC Dual applicator is cleared by the FDA for the treatment of acne vulgaris. The DiamondPolar™ and OctiPolar™ applicators on the Venus Versa™ system are cleared by the FDA for non-invasive treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and rhytides on females with Fitzpatrick skin types I-IV. The NanoFractional RF™ applicator is cleared by the FDA for dermatological procedures requiring ablation and resurfacing of the skin.

NeoGraft^® is cleared by the FDA with indication for use in suction-assisted follicular extraction and re-implantation. NeoGraft^® is an auto-graft system and can be used on both male and female patients.

ARTAS iX™ is cleared by the FDA with indication for use for harvesting hair follicles from the scalp in men diagnosed with androgenic alopecia (male pattern hair loss) who have black or brown straight hair. ARTAS iX™ is intended to assist physicians in identifying and extracting hair follicular units from the scalp during hair transplantation; creating recipient sites; and implanting harvested hair follicles.

Venus Legacy™ is cleared by the FDA for the non-invasive treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and rhytides in females with Fitzpatrick Skin Types I-IV with the OctiPolar™ and DiamondPolar™ applicators, and temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite with the 4D Body (LB2) and 4D Face (LF2) applicators.

Venus Velocity™ is cleared by the FDA for hair removal, permanent hair reduction (defined as the long-term stable reduction in the number of hairs re-growing when measured at 6, 9 and 12 months after the completion of a treatment regimen), and the treatment of pseudofolliculitis barbae for all Fitzpatrick skin types.

Venus Viva™ is cleared by the FDA for dermatological procedures requiring ablation and resurfacing of the skin. The DiamondPolar™ applicator is cleared by the FDA for the treatment of moderate to severe wrinkles and rhytides in Fitzpatrick skin types I-IV.

Venus Freeze Plus™ is cleared by the FDA for the non-invasive treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and rhytides in Females with Fitzpatrick skin types I-IV.

Venus Heal™ is cleared by the FDA for the relief of minor muscle aches and pain, relief of muscle spasm, and temporary improvement of local blood circulation. These indications enable the treatment of certain soft tissue injuries and conditions.
