Dr. Robin Hamlin is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Born in Florida, she was inspired by her mother and father to pursue her dreams of becoming a surgeon.
Robin graduated from the University of South Florida in 1997 with a degree in medicine, a bachelor of science in biology and a minor in sociology. While attending the University of South Florida, she volunteered at the Shriner's Hospital in Tampa where she gained an interest in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
After furthering her general surgery education at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Hamlin transferred to Loma Linda University Medical Center where she completed her residency program in plastic surgery. While at Loma Linda, she developed a new technique in nipple reconstruction and presented her research at several regional and national meetings.
During her time at Loma Linda, she participated in a mission trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where she performed reconstructive surgery for underprivileged families in need.
Dr. Hamlin opened her practice in Bradentown, Florida in 2003. She currently resides in Palmetto, Florida with her husband and three children. She stays very active with her family, her community, and her growing practice. Robin has a passion for mentoring future medical students and staff, encouraging them to pursue their career in the field of medicine. Dr. Hamlin believes that medical education never ends. She makes it a priority to stay current on new medical technologies and surgical techniques in the cosmetic and reconstructive field.
